Description:
This traveling exhibit features the magnificent watercolors of expeditionary illustrator Karen Jacobsen. Jacobsen spent a two-year period in the Alvin submersible, with oceanographer Cindy Lee Van Dover, exploring the deep ocean and rendering these works of art. BES is brought to you by the Geology Museum, funded in part by NASA's Astrobiology Institute. Reception on Nov. 11 from 3-6 p.m. will feature Jacobsen and Van Dover talking about their joint project.
